The degrees of Bachelor of Technology require three years of full-time study. The Bachelor of Technology courses consist of a specified set of units striking a balance between basic studies in science (common to Bachelor of Science courses) and specialised units developed for the Bachelor of Technology degrees.
To qualify for a Bachelor of Technology a student must meet the requirements of Bachelor Degree Rule 36. He or she must complete credit points that aggregate at least 72 credit points and must include all the units prescribed by Academic Senate for the degree.
Three Bachelor of Technology degrees are offered: Exploration Geoscience; Information and Communication Systems; and Optoelectronics.
Students should adhere to programs of study as recommended in the Bachelor of Technology Handbook 2000 and must have their programs approved by the Bachelor of Technology Directors.
